Event Coordinator

Job description

We are looking for a competent and creative Event Coordinator to execute and organize events that will have a hospitality impact on our clients. You’ll ensure events are successfully executed paying attention to detail. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh new ideas and the outstanding organizational skills required not to leave anything about an event to chance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute events from start to finish according to the requirements of clients and the property working with Bar Manager,  Hotel Supervisor and Floor Staff
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
  • Follow safety rules and ensure adherence
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Coordinate all operations reporting to the Assistant Manager all details
  • Approve and inspect all aspects before the day of the event
  • Ensure all payments are made timely and revenue reporting is accurate
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly, step up and break down to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare all corresponding reports weekly to upper management

Skills

  • Proven experience as event coordinator
  • Skilled in project management
  • Knowledge marketing techniques for event management
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office, Excel, POS systems
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A knack for problem-solving
  • Customer-service orientation
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Accounting skill preferred
